Today, Olaplex, the hair-care wizards behind the line of coveted, salon-grade products for home use—like its award-winning, cult-favorite No. 3 Hair Protector—have launched the newest edition in the brand’s range of treatment products for dry- and damaged-hair types.

Olaplex No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is a new, deep-conditioning treatment featuring an airless pump that helps reduce product waste and the brand’s crown jewel: its patented, bond-building formula. According to a press release obtained by SELF, this formula penetrates the hair shaft and rebuilds its structure from the inside out, creating a bridge between bonds within your hair shaft. At the same time, it lessens—or altogether eliminates—existing damage from protein-eating molecules by repairing it before more can occur.

This Olaplex treatment also contains a bevy of hydrating ingredients typically found in skin-care products, like ceramides, best known for minimizing signs of aging and sealing in moisture, and hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant that draws water to itself when applied topically. For even more of a moisture and shine boost, the mask also comes infused with a blend of oils, including rice bran, avocado, and sunflower seed.

You can opt to use the weekly mask alone to fortify weakened hair or in combination with the brand’s No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment and No. 3 Hair Perfector for deeper repair. (This writer can attest to the enhanced shine and curl definition of her hair after using the Olaplex treatment four-step cocktail, which includes the No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo.) Unlike No. 0 and No. 3, which are applied root to tip, the new No. 8 mask is created exclusively for use on your mid-lengths to ends, and sits on the hair for no more than 10 minutes. If it’s anything like its predecessors, this reparative mask will be another runaway hit for the hair-care brand.

Olaplex’s No. 8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask is available for purchase at Olaplex or through the Sephora app for $28.
