The Ned NoMad exclusive members club and hotel helmed by Richie Akiva hosted a glamorous Studio 54-inspired Disco Bash called “Le Freak” in partnership with famed Bushwick performance art and production dance troop House of Yes on Saturday, December 31st, at the exclusive hotel and members club in New York City. House of Yes is the famed Bushwick performance fueled nightclub and creative venue programmed with eclectic events and fabulous dance parties. Their immersive and artistic energy took over The Ned NoMad for a one-night-only epic and provocative disco-themed bash, presented by Moët Hennessy.

Models, VIPs, Sports Notables and The Ned’s members filled the beautiful beaux-arts club walls and moonlit dance floor, under the sky-high glass atrium which glistened with disco balls and kaleidoscope spotlights. The club’s stage was adorned with an oversized gold glitter Studio 54 style moon, offering vibes reminiscent of a sexy 80s disco club, complete with stripper poles and mirrored walls.

Notable Athletes including NY Yankees’ Harrison Bader, as well as Brooklyn Nets Royce O’Neale and Kevin Durant, among others, attended the members club bash. Actress Jasper Polish, who stars in the final season of cult favorite TV show Animal Kingdom on TNT celebrated the holiday looking glam dressed in a sexy metallic skirt set. Models such as Kailyn Shephard, Amanda Giroux, Julienne Herring, Jeannie Pfeiffer, Michelle Wang, Nina Zwarycz, Megha Bajaj, danced the night away. DJ Mel DeBarge, MartyPlay and LB1 all performed DJ sets throughout the evening which kicked off at 9pm. The House of Yes band ‘Romantic Urgency’ led by Mayteana Morales belted out signature 80s tunes and disco favorites to start off the evening, paired with the extremely talented dance troupe offering engaging performances all night long, led by House of Yes Creative Producer Adam Dishian.
Moët & Chandon champagne was also flowing all evening. The entire members club was transformed with gold glitz tinsel, disco balls and even included a 7-foot high porcelain horse replica to the one at the legendary Studio 54. There were stations featuring disco glam makeup, tattoos, psychics and more. The member’s dining room was converted into a mirrored strip club. complete with both House of Yes expert pole dancers and gogo dancers showing their flexibility, while dancers on stilts roamed around the venue in lavish costumes performing choreographed routines to the legendary dance tracks. They led the countdown at midnight with the entire room engaged, followed by gold glitter confetti canyons. The energy was untouchable.

Guests were greeted with passed appetizers upon arrival and all evening long as well as a Caviar Cart which circulated the room featuring The Ned’s own signature caviar brand paired with chips and creme fraiche. At midnight the desserts also came out, including delicious beignets. At 2am, The Ned brought out trays of their signature burgers, the perfect late night snack following the marathon of dancing and champagne. The party continued into the wee hours, with the celebrations continuing past 3am.
