How many numbers are on a Roulette wheel?

The amount of numbers displayed on a Roulette wheel can vary depending on which version of the game you play. If you play the American version, you’ll be playing with a total of 38 numbers on your wheel. However, if you play the European wheel, you’ll find 37. Both American and European wheels contain numbers 1-36. The difference lies within the number of zeros. The European wheel has just one single zero, and the American wheel has a single zero and a double zero.

You’ll notice that the numbers seem to appear in a random order, alternating between high and low where possible. 

What color are the wheel pockets?

Numbers 1 – 36 alternate between red and black pockets, whereas any zeros that appear on the wheel can be found within a green pocket.

How do you place a bet in Roulette?

When it comes to placing a bet, the process is pretty straightforward – the dealer will firstly open the betting window, and all bets need to be placed within this timeframe. Once the window is closed, no more bets will be allowed to be placed.

Within the time of the betting window being open, you will need to place down a wager that is above the minimum wagering requirement, and below the maximum. Table wagering requirements may differ from table to table, so always check before you play. When you know which bet type you’d like to play, place your chip on the corresponding space on the Roulette table, next to the wheel. When it is time, the dealer will close the betting window and start the game.

What’s the best strategy to use in Roulette?

Although there are many strategies said to be the best way to secure a win within a game of Roulette, there is no real evidence of this being the case – in fact, it is purely down to luck. 

Some seasoned players, if opting for strategy, may use strategies such as the Martingale Strategy, or the Fibonacci Strategy. Although these may work on a few occasions for some players, they do not for others, so always play in the way that is best for you, because ultimately, Roulette is a game of chance.
