RetirementDNA, a San Diego-headquartered advisory team with over $1 billion in assets under management, has joined Integrated Partners, a registered investment advisor and office of supervisory jurisdiction of LPL Financial. The move expands Integrated’s capabilities in the retirement plan space and provides RetirementDNA a way to offer private wealth services to the C-Suite executives it serves.
A lot of RIAs have been buying up retirement plan-focused firms as they make big pushes into that space. That’s not what Integrated is doing here, said Robert Sandrew, chief growth officer at Integrated. This was more of an opportunistic move.
“They were looking for a private wealth management chassis that can support some of their C-Suite clients,” Sandrew said.
Integrated advisors have the opportunity to jump in and provide that private wealth expertise to the C-Suite executives of the companies RetirementDNA works with. Through a combination of advisors in California and Hawaii, it engages with over 250 companies ranging from start-ups to publicly traded organizations.
In turn, RetirementDNA likes the fact that Integrated works with a significant number of business owners. Integrated has been building out its business owner platform for the last several years, in which the firm helps those clients who are looking to sell.
Advisors who work with many of these business owners can now use RetirementDNA for some of these companies that need retirement plan services.
“Now we can bring in RetirementDNA as another arrow in their quiver, so to speak, to better support that type of client,” Sandrew said.
RetirementDNA is led by managing partners Daniel Dubois and Shawna Christiansen. They were previously affiliated with Osaic and OneDigital.
