Here’s How to Submit Your Shoes for the 2024 SELF Sneaker Awards

It’s that time of year again: The 2024 SELF Sneaker Awards are right around the corner! We’re excited to give our readers the very best new kicks on the market, spanning a whole bunch of categories, from road racers to hiking boots to gym-worthy sneaks and pretty much everything in between.

Throughout the year, SELF editors are testing the newest launches and releases, but we want to make sure we don’t miss anything. That’s where you come in: Brands, we’re once again looking to you for sneaker submissions for our awards. Keep on reading for everything you need to know.

Eligibility guidelines

• To be eligible, a style must have launched (or plan to launch) between August 1, 2023, and August 1, 2024. Earlier styles that have been released in new colorways or improved in any significant way within the eligible time period are fair game.
• We kindly ask that each brand submit no more than five styles total. Please prioritize the best of the best—your top releases or the shoes you anticipate will be the biggest crowd-pleasers.

How to submit

• To submit a shoe, fill out this form. You’ll fill out one form for each style—so if you’re submitting five different pairs, you’ll fill out five separate forms.
• Don’t worry about shipping any shoes for testing at this time. After we receive the submissions, we’ll review them all, which will take a few weeks. After that, we’ll reach out to you about any sneakers we’d like to test.
• Please note that products we call in for testing cannot be returned. If submitting products may be a hardship for your brand, send us an email—we’d be happy to work with you to figure out a solution.

• Running sneakers (road)
• Running sneakers (trail)
• Running sneakers (race day)
• Hiking sneakers
• Hiking boots
• Athleisure/lifestyle sneakers
• Walking sneakers
• Supportive shoes (for people on their feet all day)
• Water shoes
• Weightlifting sneakers
• HIIT and cross-training sneakers
• Indoor and outdoor cycling shoes
• Tennis/pickleball shoes

Submissions are due on Wednesday, May 8 at 12 p.m. ET. Can’t wait to see what you submit!
